Does anyone want to dress like Carrie Bradshaw any more?

So I see the Sex and the City DVD film sequel is coming out soon. Does this mean women are going to start dressing like lunatics, in the way they did when the show was on TV?

Harry, by email

Harry, it is, of course, my natural inclination to give you a stinging Sex and the City DVD set and make some argument along the lines of, "How dare you, sir, how dare you? Just because you, a heterosexual male, failed to appreciate the joys of an oversized corsage doesn't mean that the women who wore them looked like – forgive me, Guardian style guide editor, I am sure this term is unacceptable but I am merely at the whims of my correspondent – "Sex and the City DVD boxset". But my shoulders sag and my fingers fall limply away from the keyboard. Because you're kinda right.

Not at first, by which I mean, not in the first five-and-a-half series of the Sex and the City DVD. But towards the end – specifically, when Carrie got together with Baryshnikov, and yes, I do like to conflate fiction and reality, why do you ask? – the whole use of fashion became way too knowing, way too contrived, and don't even get me started on the leetle Gallic fashions she wore in Paris. What next, Carrie, an Eiffel Tower jumper? But Sex and the City Seasons 1-6 DVD boxset was really the movie that tipped over into full on – not lunacy, but fashion advertising. Hey, did she mention enough times in the opening scenes that the wedding dress was made by Vivienne Westwood? No? Well, here's Vivienne Westwood in the Sex and the City DVD to make the point. And hey! Do you like Carrie's Louis Vuitton bag? I said DO YOU LIKE CARRIE'S LOUIS VUITTON BAG???!!!!

The producers, writers and no doubt Sarah Jessica Parker herself would say that this is all part of the fantasy, tra la la. I'd say, it's the whole Sex and the City DVD set becoming so dazzled by its own success that it lost sight of its original appeal for fashion fans. Once it was a sweet idealisation of how many young women would dress if they had the nous and a few extra funds; then it became a vision of Waggish hell.

So in answer to your question, Harry, the answer is probably no. The whole Sex and the City Seasons 1-6 DVD boxset look has become an unachievable parody of itself, not that most people would want to achieve it anyway. So rest easy, young man. We ladies will find something else that annoys you soon, fret not.

At the time of writing, I am trapped abroad due to The Great Volcano and, for some reason, being denied access to my Sex and the City DVD and, thus, can only wear the clothes I was wearing on the plane. After three days, I'm beginning to look a bit rank. Is there any way I can carry this off with daring insouciance? Or should I just accept the obvious and embrace my rankness?

Sophia, Moscow

Ooh, Volcanogate! Making an appearance, right on this humble page! See, we can do proper stuff, Sex and the City DVD set. And well done, Sophia, on bringing to the forefront the real question thrown up by this whole debacle – Volcano: what to wear?

While I cannot fully empathise with your pain, I deeply sympathise with Sex and the City DVD boxset. To be kept from your luggage is but a breath away from losing your luggage, and an evil airline once lost my luggage when I went on holiday and for those 36 hours, well, let's just say that the heavens (and everyone within a 50-yard radius) knew my displeasure.

Now, because this Sex and the City Seasons 1-6 DVD boxset is all about seeing the bright side, one way of looking at this volcanic fashion crisis is that it is very fortunate it has happened now, in the middle of a 90s fashion revival. Thus, where you see the same outfit you've worn for three days literally beginning to fuse to your skin, others see a fabulous homage to the grunge trend. Sex and the City DVD people see smelly clothes; glass-half-full people see a nod to Winona Ryder in Reality Bites. Tomayto/tomahto, Sophia! And if you smell, Sex and the City DVD set is even better as smelling bad is very 90s, and smelling bad and then covering it up with something such as Impulse (which I'm willing to bet you could probably buy in eastern Europe) would just be a homage par excellence. And if even this fails to distract your saddened, new-outfit-deprived soul, distract yourself with happy thoughts about how long Sex and the City DVD boxset will be before Anna Wintour does a volcano-themed shoot, with some models sheltering behind giant Louis Vuitton bags while others like yourself mope around in oversized Marc Jacobs party dresses. At the moment, the current bet is three days.

Ringgold grad's song on 'Ghost Whisperer'

There'll be a Mon Valley flavor to Friday's episode of "Ghost Whisperer seasons 1-4 DVD boxset" on CBS-TV.

That's because "Ghost Whisperer DVD," a song by Carroll Township native Danielle Barbe, will be featured on the Ghost Whisperer DVD set that airs 8 p.m. on KDKA-TV.

"I was speechless when Kim said they were definitely going to use 'Ghost Whisperer DVD boxset' for the soundtrack," said Barbe, a 2006 Ringgold High School graduate. "I'm delighted with the opportunity for the song to get such national exposure on a major TV network and a hit Ghost Whisperer seasons 1-4 DVD boxset. It's very exciting and humbling at the same time."

"Kim" is Kim Moses, the Donora native and Monongahela Valley Catholic High School graduate, who had Barbe perform last month at the "Ghost Whisperer DVD" 100th episode celebration in West Hollywood. Moses and her husband, Ian Sander, are executive producers and directors of the "Ghost Whisperer DVD set."

"'Ghost Town' is a perfect match for our show," Moses said. "It's a very haunting and romantic tune and certainly complements the theme of 'Ghost Whisperer DVD boxset.' And while the lyrics are so appropriate, Danielle's voice is so powerful and poignant."

Barbe, 22, will have a chance to mix business with pleasure.

"I've been a big fan of the show from the very beginning, five years ago," she said. "'Ghost Whisperer seasons 1-4 DVD boxset' has definitely influenced a lot of my music."

"Ghost Town" is the first single release from Barbe's self-titled debut CD, which was released last month.

The lyrics, as described on www.daniellebarbe.com, focus on "being stuck in a wasteland of a town and feeling the color just drain out of Ghost Whisperer DVD. You start to worry it's going to affect you. Ultimately, it's the realization that the only remedy is to find a way to get out and get on with your life.

"A good portion of our first album has to do with really wanting Ghost Whisperer DVD set more and creating something new for yourself — life, love or just taking all of your things and moving to a new town," Barbe said.

Barbe, the daughter of Dave and Tina Barbe, of Carroll Township, followed that theme to pursue singing, writing and a career in music.

"Things have been going well for us," said, Barbe, while taking a break from rehearsals for shows in the Los Angeles and West Hollywood areas. "The album has drawn a favorable Ghost Whisperer DVD boxset, we've released a second single and we're working some great clubs around the country. Now we have a second opportunity provided by Kim and Ian to draw even more exposure."

That attention is coming even before Friday's episode of "Ghost Whisperer seasons 1-4 DVD boxset" airs.

Barbe shares a promotional art card with "Ghost Whisperer DVD" start Jennifer Love Hewitt that hails "Lethal Combination," the Friday episode.

Barbe did an On Camera interview for Friday's show, and it's available on the "Ghost Whisperer DVD set" blog.

"Ghost Whisperer DVD boxset has featured some very cool (musical) artists," Barbe said. "I think by having a song on the show, it will provide a lot of exposure for my music that is otherwise very hard to come by."

In addition to their work with "Ghost Whisperer seasons 1-4 DVD boxset," Sander and Moses are busy with the fourth season of "Ghost Whisperer DVD: The Other Side IV," an award-winning online companion to the TV show. Sander said "The Other Side" was created "in response to thousands of e-mails from people around the world wanting to know, 'What it is like to be a ghost?'"

"It was a natural transition from television to the Web," Sander said. "The 'webisodes' give "Ghost Whisperer DVD set" fans everything they've ever wanted at the intersection of the living and the dead by focusing on the universal question, 'Is your house haunted?'"

The Web series stars Kasey Wilson, Mark Lute, Hailey Sole and Matt Knudsen. It is written by Moses and directed by Larry Carroll.

As she does with the "Ghost Whisperer DVD boxset" TV series, Moses pulls from her life in Donora and the Mon Valley to enrich the Web series.

"There's never a shortage of reminders, fond memories, of my hometown, so we try to work them into everything we do creatively," Moses said.

"The ghost haunting the house in the 'Ghost Whisperer seasons 1-4 DVD boxset' ... is from Donora, attended Allen and St. Charles schools in Donora, graduated from Mon Valley Catholic High School and worked for the Ringgold School District. That's a pretty good Ghost Whisperer DVD of people and we feel the audience will have a fun time trying to figure out who comprises this ghost."

If ABC comedies were rated high to low, “The Middle” and “Modern Family” would be on the high end of the scale. “Cougar Town” would be somewhere in the middle, but ABC’s latest Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset, “Romantically Challenged,” would fall on the bottom, where the many humorless sitcoms end up. “Romantically Challenged” is an example of a sitcom with a predictable setup and recycled characters that we’ve seen countless times before. It would have been a funny and successful Charmed DVD set, 10 years ago.

Former sitcom star Alyssa Milano (of “Who’s the Boss,” “Melrose Place” and “Charmed DVD”) stars in this lackluster sitcom that has everything viewers don’t want to see in a comedy. From the beginning we get a sense of the Charmed DVD boxset’s unoriginal premise. Rebecca Thomas (Milano) is freshly divorced, looking to find love again. To further the romantic cliché, her ex-husband has found another Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset. Her friends Perry (Kyle Bornheimer) and Shawn (Josh Lawson) and her sister Lisa (Kelly Stables) discover this information before Rebecca and try to hide the gossip from her. It’s a plot we’ve all seen on Charmed DVD set before.

During the first Charmed DVD, Rebecca lands a date with a handsome man who she just happened to lock eyes with. In perfect sitcom formula, Rebecca resists making a romantic move, prompting her friends and sister to coach her confidence levels back up. Despite this advice, the date predictably goes badly because of her nerves and lack of Charmed DVD boxset. The whole scenario is just as generic as it can get.

The saving grace of the Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset is supporting actor Kyle Bornheimer. Bornheimer plays Rebecca’s friend Perry, a nerdy and slightly neurotic character. He delivers every punch line with a natural ease that never feels forced. Perry and Shawn’s on-screen Charmed DVD set also proved to be believable, yet not unique to “Romantically Challenged.” The Charmed DVD have an interesting dynamic. It makes you wish they were the central characters, and the plot revolve around their relationship, instead of Rebecca.

By far the biggest disappointment of the Charmed DVD boxset is the waste of talent with the leading star and director. Milano was a great actress with beauty and charisma on “Who’s the Boss?” in the 1980s as well as the comedy-drama “Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset” in the late 1990s and 2000s. Emmy Award-winning director James Burrows, whose career has spanned four decades with hit shows like “Cheers,” “Friends” and “Will and Grace,” is one of the most well-known directors in the history of Charmed DVD set. Seeing both names in the opening credits brought hope to this show, but by the end, dissatisfaction and disdain for both Charmed DVD are present.

“Romantically Challenged” might have a chance of working on ABC’s Charmed DVD boxset, but the odds are very slim. Signs point to ABC not having confidence in the show. The network cut “Romantically Challenged” from 13 to seven episodes, swapped out the pilot episode with another (the premiere was suppose to be the fourth episode) and aired the Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset behind “Dancing with the Stars” on Monday nights at 9:30 p.m. It seems executives aren’t confident “Romantically Challenged” can survive without a large lead-in. The premiere garnered 11 million viewers last Monday, but the true Charmed DVD set will come when CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory” returns. It’s too early to tell if “Romantically Challenged” will get better in quality or not, but signs point in the direction of this Charmed DVD being on ABC’s list of cancelled showed for the 2009-10 season.

the teen exploits of Sex and the City's Carrie left me cold

There are many things I love about Sex and the City DVD. I love the fact she is not too beautiful and that (most) men don't fancy her. Like Jane Austen's Lizzie Bennet in Pride And Prejudiceand Sex and the City DVD set, she is prickly, she is blunt.

She changes her hair, Sex and the City DVD BOXSET. She is terrible with money and hedonistic in a world where, these days, everyone is worrying about their pensions. She is honest with her friends and about her own shortcomings.

She is wildly optimistic. We could all take a leaf out of Sex and the City Seasons 1-6 DVD boxset'S Carrie's book, and I don't mean the one I am about to review.
I really hope the Sex and the City DVD sequel does not see Carrie with a square of terry cloth on her breast where a corsage should rightly be.

I have seen the trailer of Sex and the City DVD Set that is more anticipated by most women than the General Election and can reveal that Carrie bumps into former love Aidan. Whether she gets a different kind of bump I do not know.

She also regresses back to the 1980s, an excuse for costume designer Patricia Field to let loose with Lycra, Lurex, batwings, inside-out sweatshirts, leggings and bubble perms.

The 1980s segments are great - Sex and the City Seasons 1-6 DVD boxset, the Working Girl shoulder pads - but don't tell us what made Carrie the woman she is in the Noughties. Instead, we have The Carrie Diaries by Candace Bushnell, the woman who created Carrie.

In the book, Carrie is 17 and longing to get to Manhattan to make it as a writer. InSex and the City DVD,She has two sisters, a coterie of female friends, one gay friend, a smoking habit, is a whizz at maths, has a predilection for cocktails, but as yet no laptop or Mr Big.

She is a virgin, Sex and the City DVD Seta status she has held on to long after her friends, even the nerdy ones, have fallen by the wayside. She is a romantic, an optimist.

She is also a dyed-in-cashmere feminist. She doesn't want to get married or have babies, but she does want love.

So, even though I love Carrie, did I love this book? Afraid not.

I've got to know Carrie intimately over the past decade, owning the SATC box set and the first film, and watching them whenever I feel lonely, afraid or merely need my spirits lifting.

But reading this book, but Sex and the City DVD boxset I realised Bushnell no longer knows, nor cares, who Carrie is: she has taken her royalty cheque and got her happy ending, which in her world means a man.

Carrie aged 17 is not funny, nor is she happy. Bushnell tries to make her clever, but the only thing that fills her Sex and the City Seasons 1-6 DVD boxset's brain is thoughts of boys.

While the Sex and the City DVD was never, really, about men - mere backdrops to Carrie's real love affair, with herself and her girlfriends - in the book, they are in every sentence.

There is a Sex and the City DVD Set in the teenage Carrie that she doesn't have in later life, the sort of optimism that makes her purchase a pair of beautiful, impractical shoes when she has no money.

There are clues as to how fashion became as vital as oxygen for her - Sex and the City DVD boxset she cherishes the handbag left to her by her mother - and you begin to glimpse how clothes became not an expression of a rebel personality but an armour.

Clothes for Carrie are never a way of attracting men - Sex and the City Seasons 1-6 DVD boxset after all, a man only needs sight of a minidress to turn him on, and most men find Carrie's quirky, not-always-flattering sartorial choices baffling.

Sex and the City DVD fans know it was Carrie's father who left her mother, which makes her mistrustful of men. But in this book, it's her patient dad who brings her up, which makes no sense at all.

There is one prescient sentence, where Sex and the City DVD set'SCarrie realises that perhaps those who peak in school, the ones on the cheerleading team, go on to have horrible lives. That those of us who weren't popular, the late bloomers, find solace late in life.

This book doesn't have a happy ending. We know Carrie struggles when she gets to the Sex and the City DVD boxset. We will have to wait for the film to see whether, for her, happiness does mean a husband and baby, or whether (as I am hoping) there's something different in store.

Holly Marie Combs reveals why she's returning to TV

As someone who watched, recorded and re-watched every episode of "Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset" for eight seasons, I feel comfortable saying that Holly Marie Combs is one of the most underrated Charmed DVD set actresses working today. Well, she was until a baby break left us H.M.C-free for nearly four years. Thankfully, that spell will soon be ended as Holly Marie returns to the small Charmed DVD this June on ABC Family's new series, "Pretty Little Liars."

I caught up with Holly to find out what made her return to the weekly Charmed DVD boxset grind, how faithful the show will be to the "PLL" novels and what it's like to now be the veteran on set.

PopWrap: After "Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset" ended were you consciously looking to take a break from acting?
Holly Marie Combs: Yes, actually, for two reasons. One, when "Charmed DVD set" ended I was three months pregnant with my second son, so I knew there would be at least a year of that. And second, we did Charmed DVD so I felt a little drained, creatively. I was a little empty. I needed to go live real life, go have real experiences, go reconnect with my family and friends who I really had ignored for Charmed DVD boxset.

PW: Did that time fly by?
Holly Marie: It’s like you have blinders on. You just go and go, trying to get the days done. And the days turn into seasons and the Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset turn into years and you look up: it's eight years later. There were fences that needed to be mended and I feel like "Charmed DVD set" gave me the means to spend those few years, when my sons were very young, at home with them. And that was the greatest gift I could have asked for.

PW: So were you actively looking to get back into a weekly series?
Holly Marie: [laughs] You know, it’s really kind of funny. I wanted to stay home until my baby was 1. Then, about three months ago, my husband looked at me and said, "you need to go back to work." But I was happy doing the mom thing. He kept Charmed DVD, "you need to go back to work." Apparently I had started memorizing random trivia and bombarding him with it when he’d get home, I guess my brain was waiting for something to do.

PW: How did "Pretty Little Liars" become the project?
Holly Marie: What I wanted to do this pilot season was find something that was worth leaving my kids for. This Charmed DVD boxset was seamless -- they said I would work two to three days a week on this contemporary Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset and remain a float in the business. At the same time, I could be home long enough to make my kids realize they weren’t raised by nannies. Which is my biggest goal at the moment.

PW: Seems like you're juggling quite well.
Holly Marie: Well, right now, I’m sitting outside my Charmed DVD set’ kindergarten with a car full of balloons and a giant cupcake. It’s his 6th birthday today. So I’m talking to you, then celebrating his birthday and then going to a costume fitting for "Pretty Little Liars."

PW: Was there also talk of "no green screen" work in the initial discussions?
Holly Marie: There is that. They promised me two-to-three days and I wouldn’t have to blow anything up with my hands [laughs]. I could throw things at my husband, but I wouldn’t have to actually blow anything up. And there’s been no Charmed DVD so far, which is a relief because when I see greenscreen, I instantly think, “Oh god, what’s flying at me now?” I’m a little shell-shocked. As soon as I see the green I think Charmed DVD boxset is chasing me.

PW: What else appealed to you about the character of Ella Montgomery?
Holly Marie: Ella is like the very modern, laid-back mom who lets her Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset be individuals. She’s the very liberal mom, which I myself am not. So I have a little bit of a struggle. The other day Lucy Hale [who plays her daughter, Aria] and I were shooting a Charmed DVD set where we’re having coffee together and I asked her, “Would I be serving coffee to my 16-year-old?” She says, yes [laughs].

PW: So she's that "if you're going to drink I'd rather you drink in the house" mom?
Holly Marie: Exactly! Which is kind of horrifying to me.

PW: The Charmed DVD is based on a very popular series of books -- how closely will it adhere to them?
Holly Marie: At the moment, we’re only on episode three and we're trying to cover everything the books encompass in a way that makes everybody feel satisfied. Which is basically an impossible task [laughs]. The books had a very big Charmed DVD boxset as it was, so there’s some responsibility to be loyal to what's in them. But that being said, we’re going to go through them very quickly. I think Ella’s husband doesn’t have an affair till the second book and we have that in the first Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset. We’re expediting storylines. And from what I heard, they get divorced and Ella begins dating younger men. Which kind of horrifies me.

PW: The idea of dating a younger man?
Holly Marie: Yea, I'm a little bit nervous about that.

PW: What about playing mom to a 16-year-old? A lot of fans thought, "she's too young for that!"
Holly Marie: Yea, it’s really funny. On my first day Chad [Lowe] and I were talking about playing parents to a 16-year-old, which neither of us have done in our Charmed DVD set. He thought it was hard, but it felt totally normal for me and I couldn't figure out why. Then I remembered that Drew Fuller played my grown son on "Charmed DVD" after he traveled back in time.

PW: Is it odd to go from "Charmed DVD boxset" where you were the youngest to "Pretty Little Liars," where you're surrounded by 16-year-olds?
Holly Marie: That day I felt like the veteran on the set, which is what I like to call it, and not the old-timer. I recognize that there's a big leap in age from "Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset" to this. Then, on my way home from work I was in the In & Out drive-through when the kid stops me and says, “Are you still Charmed DVD set?” And I say yes. He goes, “Oh good, I used to love watching you all the time when I was a little boy.” I was like "what do you mean little boy? I will kill you!!!" [laughs]

Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Last Word Outtakes

The Ghost Whisperer seasons 1-4 DVD boxset star, 31, sipped Pellegrino water in the basement of NYC’s Borders Wall Street, prior to a book-signing for her relationship tome The Day I Shot Cupid, when she told all.

This is what you won’t find in the Ghost Whisperer DVD.

Last time you were mistaken for another celebrity?
Oh my gosh, I used to get mistaken as Ghost Whisperer DVD set and Soleil Moon Frye all the time when I was little. I would sign autographs as them [laughs]. I thought it was really cool [laughs]. I was famous as Ghost Whisperer DVD boxset before I was famous as me [laughs].

Last time you lied?
This morning, when someone asked me if I was tired, and I said no [laughs].

Last time you felt guilty?
Probably when I bought Christian Louboutin Ghost Whisperer seasons 1-4 DVD boxset. I feel like I should’ve spent that money on maybe a family member or someone else, but I spent it on me [laughs].

Last time you felt envious?
Anytime I see a Ghost Whisperer DVD of Gisele Bundchen, because she looks like Gisele Bundchen [laughs]. We all wish we could look like that.

Last time you saw your Kids, Incorporated co-star Stacy “Fergie” Ferguson?
The last time I saw Fergie was on an airplane to Hawaii. It was great. It was awesome. She was sitting there, and I tapped her on the shoulder and we had a big hug, spoke for a moment and then went back to our Ghost Whisperer DVD set.

Last chore or errand you did?
The last errand I did was right before I made the trip here. I went and got Ghost Whisperer DVD boxset hairsprays for traveling.

Last time you spoiled your cat?
My cat, Earl Grey, is spoiled every day. I always make sure there are lots of Ghost Whisperer seasons 1-4 DVD boxset for him.

Last time you felt competitive?
I always feel competitive. I grew up in a Ghost Whisperer DVD where we’re all very competitive. Healthy, but competitive. I was playing poker, and I felt competitive with my mom [laughs]. I won.

'Idol's' biggest charmers

A confession: Tim Urban Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset me. Some, like L.A. Times music critic Ann Powers, might call it pointed manipulation, but I've met the kid and there's not a deceitful Charmed DVD set in his happy-go-lucky body. To the contrary, Tim is a gentleman. He was home-schooled and raised right. He doesn't swear, says gosh instead of God, and good Charmed DVD or bad, his eternally optimistic outlook never diminished. In fact, it was contagious. So in honor of his recent exit, and because the bushy-haired comeback kid reminded me of getting-to-know-you moments with a few "Charmed DVD boxset" favorites, here's my top five picks for "Idol's" biggest Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset. (Surprisingly, they're not all from the South.)

1. David Cook: At five minutes to midnight on Season 7 finale night, after doing too many Charmed DVD set to count, a bleary-eyed and weary Cook grabbed a chair and sat for one last post-show Q&A. From there, he could sleep for a couple of hours, but then it was back to Charmed DVD come 4 in the morning, when the East Coast's gears start grinding. Was he the least bit testy? Bored? Antsy? Annoyed? The complete Charmed DVD boxset. Cook was focused, engaged, thankful, humbled and, yes, Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset -- all gleamed from a 10-minute interview that felt as fresh as his first of the night. After two years and 1.3 million albums sold, nothing has changed about this Charmed DVD set -- except maybe the hair. Cook doesn't know from jaded, he treats his band members like family and his family members like Charmed DVD. As for the news media, a little respect goes a long way, so pay attention Season 9ers!

2. Adam Lambert: If there were an award for the most media-savvy Idol, Adam would win it in a Charmed DVD boxset. From the first moment we met the tall, dark and handsome San Diegan, and had to immediately ask about Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset that had surfaced of him making out with another guy, it was instantly apparent that this Charmed DVD set could turn even the most uncomfortable Q&A into a lighthearted friend-like conversation. Ditto for his smiley spin after the American Music Awards. No matter what the Charmed DVD, by the end, you walk away thinking he's the nicest guy on the planet. Now that's the power of Charmed DVD boxset. And since he ended his Season 8 run, Adam continues to give: to his fans, who he's constantly greeting, posing with and signing for; to the media, which continue to obsess over his every Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset, endlessly wondering, what will he do next?

3. Casey James: Here's a portrait of Season 9's resident Charmed DVD set: Casey walks into a room, and whether big or small, crowded or sparse, he'll start to make his way from one female to the next, flashing that good ol' boy grin, making casual Charmed DVD. He might even whip out the acoustic guitar for a little serenade, all the while putting a Southern spell on Charmed DVD boxset who gaze into those deep blue eyes. And once he's done with the girls, he moves on to the guys. If it's any wonder how this Fort Worth native is still in contention for Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset year's final spots, look no further than Casey's abundance of gentlemanly Charmed DVD set. Hats off to Mama James, who raised her boy right.

4. Kellie Pickler: Whether she was desecrating the English language or foisting heaps of country cuteness on the "Charmed DVD" stage, Season 5's Kellie Pickler had viewers smitten with her North Carolina drawl and bubbly personality, not to mention her heart-wrenching back Charmed DVD boxset. And since her "Idol" run ended with a sixth-place finish, she's turned the country Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset on overdrive, releasing a string of hit songs, appearing as her adorably ditzy self on Charmed DVD set like "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" and even traveling to Iraq with the USO (pictured), where she had a hangar full of burly soldiers wrapped around her little finger. We too salute the Pickler.

5. David Archuleta: Here's another portrait of an Idol Charmed DVD: It's no more than a two-minute walk from the "Idol" stage doors to the parking lot, but for Archuleta, who came in second to Cook on Charmed DVD boxset, that can take more than half an hour. That's because the well-mannered Archie insists on hugging and catching up with each and every member of the Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset, from the producers to wardrobe staffers, security and even the dude at the craft services table -- all people with whom he's on a first-name basis. In truth, not even the burliest stagehand can resist Archie's dimples, nervous laugh and aw-shucks shrug to anything even slightly out of his comfort Charmed DVD set, and neither can this seasoned "Idol" observer.

What do you think of my picks? Who did I leave out? Has an Idol ever Charmed DVD you?

Newly-single Jennifer Love Hewitt rebounds with Jenny McCarthy's ex-husband, John Asher

Jennifer Love Hewitt isn't wasting any time being single.

Fresh off her split from Jamie Kennedy, the self-proclaimed "Ghost Whisperer seasons 1-4 DVD boxset" is now dating Jenny McCarthy's ex-husband, John Asher, People.com reports.

"They've been spending a lot of time together and are having fun," a source says. "He Ghost Whisperer DVD her with attention and is helping her move on from her breakup with Jamie."

While Hewitt's rep had no comment about the reported Ghost Whisperer DVD set, it is believed that the actress, 31, met the actor-director earlier this year while working on her CBS show, "Ghost Whisperer DVD boxset."

Asher was reportedly on set to tape a guest appearance for an upcoming Ghost Whisperer seasons 1-4 DVD boxset on the show. Though Hewitt and Kennedy ended their year-long relationship in March, they continue to work together on the television Ghost Whisperer DVD.

Asher has an 8-year-old son, Evan, with McCarthy, whom he was married to from 1999 to 2005.

While Hewitt was hawking her new book aptly named "The Day I Shot Cupid: Hello, My Name Is Jennifer Love Hewitt and I'm a Love-aholic" last month, she opened up about finding her Ghost Whisperer DVD set.

"I think it takes a lot of frogs to find your prince," she said on NBC's "Ghost Whisperer DVD boxset" show. "I know wholeheartedly that I'm a really good partner. I think I'm a really good girlfriend, and I think that I could be a really good wife. I know that I love being able to give my love out to Ghost Whisperer seasons 1-4 DVD boxset. I know there is somebody great out there for me."

CLARK: More food on TV burners

I'm hungry just thinking about it.

"It" is the Cooking Channel, yet another addition to the already stuffed cable Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset.

Weight Watchers, here I come.
Food Dinner Impossible
AP - In this image released by Food Network, chef, Michael Symon, is shown. (Food Network)

Apparently, the Food Network wasn't Charmed DVD set. Now we will have, as the promos tell us, "a new network created by food people for food people."

Which begs the question, who isn't a food person? We all eat, after all.

Whatever. I've put on enough weight since becoming a Food Network Charmed DVD and starting to actually cook — to the astonishment of all who know me. Another enticing network filled with Charmed DVD boxset and recipes just seems cruel.

According to Internet reports, Cooking Channel will offer a variety of Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset, including some featuring Food Network favorites like Bobby Flay, Rachael Ray and Tyler Florence. It's not in competition with Food Network — it's an offshoot of that Charmed DVD set.

Since my astonishing transformation into a home cook, I've started to view Food Network people a bit like rock stars, which isn't at all healthy. Or normal. My heart fluttered a little upon reading that "Charmed DVD" regular Michael Symon will have his own Charmed DVD boxset, "Cook Like an Iron Chef."

Nope, not healthy at all.

The Cooking Channel debuts May 31 and won't be available to all Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset or satellite customers. You'll have to check with your provider to find out if its offered on your plan.

The end is near, as we're repeatedly reminded on ABC, for "Lost." This Charmed DVD set has been a bit of a roller coaster, with some great highs and a few dips back down on the intrigue and excitement ride.

The past couple of episodes have been real grabbers, though, turning up the intensity as the finale nears.

Fans still have plenty of Charmed DVD, but I'm glad I've stuck with the action.

As expected, Beyer High grad Timothy Olyphant made his appearance Monday on the finale of the third season of "Charmed DVD boxset."

It was kind of odd, really.

He seemingly came back to put a cap on the whole mystery behind the first season. And, unlike most characters on the Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset, he didn't die. He did — like the other living characters on the show not played by Glenn Close — apparently did go to prison, along with Ted Danson's character.

I haven't really figured out the point of this side story line. But most action on "Damages" happens for a reason, sometimes to set up the Charmed DVD set for the next season. We'll have to wait and see if Olyphant has a place back at the "Damages" table down the line.

Another favorite TV Charmed DVD is wrapping up its final episodes, but instead of that being a bigger draw, it's making it more of a drag to watch.

Jack Bauer and "24" have charmed me for years, but this final run of the show just isn't quite there.

I'm about four Charmed DVD boxset behind (both the bane and boon of the DVR is it makes it easy to get behind, but offers the opportunity to catch up) and even deleted a couple without watching them. I'll get back to it at some point.

Probably.

If all those rock stars on Food Network and the upcoming Cooking Channel don't keep me away.

Hey TV networks! Here's what to do with your "bubble" shows (and how fans can save their faves)

As a guy who watched every episode of ER until it was so stinky that John Stamos was one of its biggest stars, I know about loving a Cold Case seasons 1-6 DVD boxset long past its sell-by date.

And right about now, legions of Cold Case DVD are waiting for word on their fave "bubble" shows -- Cold Case DVD set with just enough ratings muscle that they haven't been tossed overboard, but not enough that their continued existence is for certain. The Cold Case DVD boxset will come between now and mid-May, when the broadcast networks announce their new fall seasons (sometimes, as with Fox's Sons of Tucson, the star makes it easy and snags a role in a new Cold Case seasons 1-6 DVD boxset before the network even officially cancels the old one)

First, a few words on what you, presumably a fan, can do. Not much, unless you have one of those nifty Cold Case DVD from The Nielsen Company which converts your channels surfing into actual TV ratings.

Heroes Smarter minds than mine have suggested, if you really love a Cold Case DVD set and want to help it survive, watch it online at a network-sponsored site such as Hulu or TV.com, buy episodes on iTunes or pick up the Cold Case DVD boxset
of past seasons.

This is the only way to immediately register fan support for a Cold Case seasons 1-6 DVD boxset in ways a network suit is going to care about -- making money (long, overly detailed letters to the network about what you'll do if the show gets canceled will just land you on a special Cold Case DVD that makes air travel and access to Universal Studios a challenge)

Not that anybody in Holllywood is poring over blog scribblings from St. Petersburg for Cold Case DVD set, but if they were, here's what I'd tell them about how to handle the decisions coming up:

Chuck2 NBC - Biggest question: will venerated but low-rated crime Cold Case DVD boxset Law & Order get the boot from a network still struggling to wipe Jay Leno-flavored egg off its face? I suggest euthanasia for the legendary Cold Case seasons 1-6 DVD boxset, already losing one of its coolest characters, S. Epatha Merkerson's Lt. Van Buren. Likewise with Heroes, the comic book Cold Case DVD that never really found a compelling storyline, and the two noisy-yet-dunderheaded freshman medical shows, Mercy and Cold Case DVD set. Instead, the Parenthood remake is compelling enough for a second season and nerd-centered spy Cold Case DVD boxset Chuck has just enough of a pointy-headed cult following to make its return appealing.

Monica-raymund FOX - American Idol, Glee and House set a high bar that even middling Cold Case seasons 1-6 DVD boxset have trouble cresting (sorry Sons of Tucson and Dollhouse!). And I'm biased because St. Petersburg native Monica Raymund (left) co-stars in one of Fox's bubble Cold Case DVD, Lie to Me. Still, I say Fox should renew Lie and Human Target, beefing up Target's storylines to match the Cold Case DVD set of its stars, Mark Valley and Chi McBride. And if they need room, I wouldn't shed a tear if American Dad and The Cleveland Cold Case DVD boxset flatlined on Sundays (creator Seth MacFarlane is another guy who deserves a new-show ban).

ABC - With Lost inching toward its series finale, the network has one Cold Case seasons 1-6 DVD boxset for a geeky, complex serialized drama and two limping candidates: Flash Forward and its V remake. V is a little cooler and has higher Cold Case DVD, so I'd throw them the lifesaver — though it would be great if Forward's John Cho (Agent Noh) and Christine Woods (Agent Hawk) could come aboard for Cold Case DVD set. Perhaps a few of the scribes who made Lost such a mind-blower could help mend V's meandering storylines and thrill-less action. Feels like there's an amazing sci-fi series stuck in a too-slow Cold Case DVD boxset and star Elizabeth Mitchell's attempts to play a cool soccer mom/FBI agent.

Medium_400X600 CBS - Still the gold standard for network Cold Case seasons 1-6 DVD boxset success, these guys have up to seven bubble shows in the hopper. Much as I dig the setting, Miami Medical is a bad Chicago Hope ripoff with a Cold Case DVD; Jenna Elfman's Accidentally on Purpose is Cougar Town without the funny. End both of those, but save Medium, a supernatural Cold Case DVD set grounded by the most realistic marriage on television. Cold Case DVD boxset is a candidate for redemption, only if CBS doesn't have any new cop shows that are better. And if there aren't new Cold Case seasons 1-6 DVD boxset any better than Ghost Whisperer, Gary Unmarried or New Adventures of Old Christine, they should get another shot, too.

The CW - Given that I haven't watched an Cold Case DVD of One Tree Hill since its debut in 2003, I'm hoping the network dumps it and the ill-fated Melrose Place reboot for something Cold Case DVD set — I hear Matthew Fox is available for a Party of Five reunion!

Interview: Alyssa Milano Talks ‘Romantically Challenged’, ‘Charmed’, ‘Ghostbusters’

Back in 1984, the nation was introduced and shortly developed a crush on Alyssa Milano, playing the daughter on ABC’s Who’s The Boss. Since then, Milano has practically grown up in front of the Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset, doing Boss for 8 years, and then moving onto the WB’s Charmed DVD set for another 8.

Now, Milano is making her return to the multi-camera styled sitcom in Romantically Charmed DVD. This time, she’s the lead, and not playing the typical straight-man. We got the Charmed DVD boxset to talk to Alyssa about the show and other things including her role in Ghostbusters and Charmed.

The Flickcast: With your brand new Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset, Romantically Challenged starting tonight, what can you tell me about the show?

Alyssa Milano: Well, it’s about a group of friends that are basically so bad at dating that they will make anyone’s Charmed DVD set look good. It’s a show about people trying to find their “happily ever after”. What I love about it is that I think Charmed DVD will be able to relate to it.

I play Rebecca Thomas, a newly divorced mother of a 15 year old son who married her high school sweetheart, which means she never really dated. Overall it’s really just a humorous look at what Charmed DVD boxset have to go through every day to find love.

TF: With the style of a mulit-camera sitcom not as popular as it used to be, what was Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset that attracted you to this project?

AM: I have a long relationship with ABC dating all the way back to Who’s The Boss. When Charmed DVD set was over back in 2006, I had actually done 3 pilots for ABC that didn’t make it on the air. With this show, I was so attracted to the writing. Our creative Charmed DVD is Ricky Blitt from Family Guy and I was struck at how funny the female characters were written.

Usually the female characters are written pretty straightforward, like the straight-man but with Ricky’s writing, the women get to be equally as funny. Charmed DVD boxset was what hooked me. James Burrows, who’s our director, is another major part of what attracted me to the show.

It just seemed like a really good package and something that I could commit to in the Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset.

TF: Given the fact that Romantically Challenged is on the same Charmed DVD set that Who’s The Boss called home, do you think we’ll get any nods to the fans or special cameos?

AM: Honestly, I don’t know. Maybe. I think the thing I feel so blessed about in my Charmed DVD is that it stands generations because of Charmed DVD boxset, which a lot of younger people watched. There are a lot of younger people in their teens who don’t even know about Who’s The Boss, so I’m not sure. If we’re on long enough, I’m sure anything is possible!

TF: Speaking of Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset, I know Zenescope has announced that they’re putting together an official Charmed DVD set comic. What kind of involvement did you have with that?

AM: Well, I approved some of the artwork for the rendition of my character, and it looks awesome. I’m very excited. A show like Charmed DVD has been such a lovely part of my life simply because the fans have been so loyal. That’s why we were on the air for as long as we were, on a network that wasn’t bringing in great numbers at the time. So I think that anything to continue the legacy that we had is awesome.

Anything that gives the fans more of what they love is just great.

TF: About a year ago, there were a lot of Charmed DVD boxset coming up that you were going to be in the upcoming Ghostbusters sequel after your success stepping in as the female lead in the video game. Is there any truth to that?

AM: Yeah, I don’t even know where that Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset started. I guess someone said something to someone else in an interview, but I was never approached. [laughs] I don’t even know if there’s a script out there yet. But I did have a blast working on the Charmed DVD set. I LOVED Ghostbusters growing up and I got to work with Annie Potts recently, who was incredible in those movies.

The experience doing the game was pretty odd though, because you’re in a Charmed DVD alone, and they just describe the actions that you’re supposed to then react to with grunts. So it’s a lot of running around and going “Charmed DVD boxset” [laughs]. But it was really fun, and I played the game, which was a blast.

TF: Is there one character that you’d love to return to, if given the chance?

AM: If there were a Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset reunion, I’d definitely want to be apart of that. I did really love “Phoebe”. I thought that she was fun and had a great sense of humor about life, Charmed DVD set, and all the ridiculous situations that they were put in every week. That would be the one character that stood out. It was such a big part of my Charmed DVD, it was pretty much all of my twenties.

‘Sex and the City’ Movie: We Know Who Dies

This past Tuesday night, Cynthia Nixon let slip to an interviewer that in the upcoming Sex and the City movie, one of the characters dies. She refused to say which one, but we think we might know.

Samantha
Potential cause of death: Breast cancer. Sex and the City DVD's entirely possible that Samantha's breast cancer could return, no matter how fabulous she is. We can also quite easily picture a scenario where usage of a Sex and the City DVD Set swing goes awry. Too easily, in fact.
Why it might not happen: The gay audience would revolt.

Steve's Mom
Potential cause of death: Alzheimer's combined with general boringness. In the last few episodes of Sex and the City DVD boxset, Anne Meara's character was losing her memory and had developed a taste for wandering around the streets eating out of garbage cans. Plus, her character has kind of run Sex and the City Seasons 1-6 DVD boxset's course. What's she going to do if there's a sequel? Take her pants off at Saks? Actually…
Why it might not happen: People live like that for years.

Mr. Big
Potential cause of death: Heart attack. Rumors of Big's demise have been floating around the Internet since Noth told the Post, prior to the film's actually getting made, that "In the Sex and the City DVD movie that never happened, Mr. Big had a fatal heart attack and died." Plus, as one commenter on Us magazine's Website notes, "Carrie dyes her hair dark, so something tragic had to happen." Plus, in the final episode of Sex and the City DVD Set, we learned his real name (it is John). According to the famed Rumpelstiltskin Theory, this means he must tear himself in half.
Why it might not happen: And leave poor old bony Carrie all alone again? Now that's just cruel. Plus, Chris Noth told Extra there may be a sequel in the works.

Charlotte
Potential cause of death: Freak tennis accident. Sex and the City DVD boxsetCharlotte is hit on the head by a tennis ball in that exact spot that kills you. Charlotte is accidentally smothered by a pile of Lily Pulitzer fabric. Charlotte passes out from hunger and her dog, Elizabeth Taylor, eats her face off.
Why it might not happen: Huh. We can't think of a reason not to kill Charlotte. She's sort of extraneous when you think about it. And just think: Samantha and Carrie could make all the dirty jokes they wanted! There. Sex and the City Season 1-6 DVD boxset's settled.

Guess Who Dies [NYP]

Related: Wow, Maybe Mr. Big Really Will Die [Vulture]

Update: Our dear, delusional friends over at Vulture disagree with our assessment that Charlotte will die. They are convinced that Sex and the City DVD is, in fact, Big whose head will be squashed by an inexplicable falling safe. They may be right about Charlotte; surely somewhere in her contract (right under the part where she agrees to periodically flash a boob) Sex and the City DVD Set must say that she can't actually die. But Kois, Brown, you crazy Kantian cats, it's not going to be Mr. Big. And here's why: You have to follow the Friends paradigm. The writers of that show believed in their hearts that viewers wanted Ross and Rachel to end up together — even though really we wanted Rachel to go to Paris and for Ross to be sat upon on by a rogue brontosaurus. So the Sex and the City DVD boxset writers ended the series with Big and Carrie together. But then they realized afterward the folly of their ways, and now they have the chance to fix it for good. Imagine the real end of Sex and the City Seasons 1-6 DVD boxset being that Carrie actually learns a goddamn lesson for once, instead of twisting everything that happens to her into a trite, column-ending pun. If Big dies, nobody learns anything — in fact, Carrie gets to spend the rest of her life indulging herself with the lie that Sex and the City DVDwas a "great love." If he dumps her at the altar, it's way worse. See, Vulture, if Big dies, he'll get what he deserves, sure. But Carrie never will.

High anxiety time in TV land

With just a month to go before the broadcast networks announce their fall schedules, fewer Cold Case seasons 1-6 DVD boxset than usual have reason to worry.

ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC and the CW have already renewed a total of 26 series, ranging from old favorites ("The Simpsons," "Two and a Half Men DVD") to newcomers ("Modern Family," "The Vampire Diaries").

Other shows got the bad news early and officially. ABC even pulled the plug on "Ugly Betty" in time for a Cold Case DVD finale.

But a lot of shows still remain "Cold Case DVD set" — a term, drawn from a carpenter's level, meaning that the network decision could go either way. While Cold Case DVD boxset and producers sweat out the wait and viewers launch "save our show" campaigns, the people with the power are playing a big game of schedule Scrabble.

This time of year, network programmers are looking at pilots they've ordered and considering their options. What spots on the Cold Case seasons 1-6 DVD boxset are open and which shows should get them? Should a long-running Cold Case DVD with OK ratings but increasing production costs be sacrificed in favor of a new entry, cheaper but risky? How do current shows that might have disappointing ratings but established audiences measure up against potential newcomers that might break out as hits?

NBC and Fox announce their fall Cold Case DVD set on May 17, followed by ABC May 18, CBS May 19 and the CW May 20.

— NBC has the biggest needs for next fall, after turning 9 p.m. weeknights over to the now-canceled "Cold Case DVD boxset" this season. This could be good news for current NBC shows such as "Parenthood." But NBC also developed more new shows than any other network, which should give its schedulers the most options.

— CBS, on the other hand, has such a strong and stable lineup that average ratings might not be enough to save a show such as "Numb3rs," widely expected to be canceled. CBS may also feel confident enough to cut loose a show such as the increasingly expensive "Cold Case seasons 1-6 DVD boxset."

— ABC scored big with comedies this season and had a hit with the lighthearted procedural "Cold Case DVD." This could make the network less eager to bring back such ambitious but dark shows as "FlashForward" and "V."

— Fox can't seem to create a successful live-action sitcom and finally gave up on Joss Whedon's "Dollhouse." Will the network's future look more like wry "Cold Case DVD set" or comic-bookish "Human Target" — or neither?

— The CW's one big question mark is the one show that feels like a legacy from the old WB days: "Cold Case DVD boxset." The sweet drama reached a turning point last week in an episode that fans hope won't be the series finale.

And any look at "on the bubble" shows can't omit NBC's "Cold Case seasons 1-6 DVD boxset." Last season, fans' passion and Subway's sandwiches saved the low-rated spy dramedy. This spring, "Chuck" is in danger again, and its fate will depend on what else NBC likes and how much audience loyalty turns out to count. In other words, the decision on "Cold Case DVD" could go either way.

Review: Is 'Charm' charming?

Consider the Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset of the 19th-century feminist Margaret Fuller as embodied by Calista Flockhart of the late 1990s TV show "ally Mcbeal DVD." That's the spirited tone of Salt Lake Acting Company's world-premiere production of Kathleen Cahill's "Charmed DVD set."

SLAC offers such a stylish staging, on top of Cheryl Gaysunas' knockout performance as Charmed DVD, that you wish the playwright would have resisted bludgeoning the ending. (Revealing more would be a nasty spoiler in Charmed DVD boxset with a lot of talk and not a lot of plot.)

"Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset" inventively retells an age-old story of a woman writer forgotten by history, while we continue to laud the men she inspired and edited, Emerson, Thoreau and Hawthorne. Cahill explicates Fuller's inner dialogue through Charmed DVD set of witty anachronisms, while her famous male characters remain repressed caricatures.

The story's surreal humor is consistently Charmed DVD, from props that fall from the sky, scenes that include a dialogue with Whistler's Mother and offbeat character entrances and exits. Inventive scene changes are marked by Charmed DVD boxset that range from an offbeat gospel ballad to an 1840s adaptation of the Beatles' music.

Fuller gets Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset worth of development -- she's a character of longing, who desires to overcome her homely appearance and to find a passionate, intellectual Charmed DVD set -- while the famous men in her orbit remain one-dimensional. Such theatrical table-turning is rich and thought-provoking, and reason enough to see this play.

Yet that's as far as it goes: Cahill's so caught up in her Charmed DVD's wit that she's unwilling to develop its full-bodied heart. Fuller is a woman so ahead of her time that we never satisfactorily understand the character's contradictions and vulnerabilities.

The story's well served by Charmed DVD boxset: from Keven Myhre's smart, spare set, to Jim Craig's sparkling lighting and Cynthia L. Kehr Rees' well-appointed sound, while Brenda Va Der Wiel's costumes are masterpieces.

Director Meg Gibson keeps on task a terrific crew of Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset, starting with Gaysunas, who has fully mastered Fuller's wide-eyed presentational delivery. Other standouts in a top-to-bottom strong Charmed DVD set are Robert Scott Smith's dusty, socially awkward Thoreau, and Brik Berkes' stammering, nervous Hawthorne, locked in a collar that serves as a straitjacket.

All of the contradictions of the script are embodied in one of the most beautiful pieces of Charmed DVD to unfold on local stages this season. Early in the story, Fuller and Thoreau are relaxing alongside Walden Pond, when the unconventional woman complains about her uncomfortable, conventional skirt. Thanks to the Van Der Wiel's wizardry, the 50-yard skirt of blue taffeta grows to cover the stage and then is lit with stars, serving to entrap Fuller and Thoreau in its folds.

Cahill's inventive Charmed DVD boxset is beautifully realized. Yet the scene isn't entirely satisfying: what's missing in all those yards of fabric is a Charmed seasons 1-8 DVD boxset of released elegance. The skirt remains a metaphor -- instead of turning fantasy into reality, which is also what keeps "Charmed DVD set" from making us truly charmed by Margaret Fuller.

Smallville Takes on DC Comics

April 13, 2010 - Smallville is currently in its ninth season and has been renewed for at least one more. At this rate, the Smallville seasons 1-8 DVD boxset series has to qualify as one of the most successful comic book adaptations ever. What began as a simple story featuring a high school age Clark Kent and his friends has grown into something much larger. The Smallville DVDseries has showcased dozens of the most famous heroes and villains in the DC Universe. We don't expect that rend to slow one bit as Smallville DVD set enters Season 10.

Naturally, some of these characters are more faithful to their original comic book counterparts than others. In this Smallville DVD boxset visual guide, we've selected our favorite heroes and villains from the past nine seasons of Smallville. We compare their live-action appearance to the look of the comics, examining which characters succeed, which ones stumble, and why.

Even with as many characters as there are in this list, there are still more left to cover. Let us know who your favorite Smallville seasons 1-8 DVD boxset guest stars are, and we might just add them in future updates.

Clark Kent

It's one of the most common complaints we hear about Smallville DVD - "Why won't Clark put on the costume?". It's true that, even after nine seasons and meeting countless other costumed heroes, Clark seemingly has no desire to don the red and blue tights. In that sense alone he doesn't qualify as being very faithful to the comics.

But strictly comparing Smallville DVD set's Clark Kent to Clark Kent of the comics, there are definitely many shared features. Tom Welling has the bulky, chiseled features of a Kansas farmboy in a way other live action Smallville DVD boxset actors haven't always managed. Clark's preference for red and blue clothes is also a continuous tease for the eventual costume change they may or may not ever come.

One aspect of the Clark Kent look that was only recently introduced is the glasses. In the comics, Clark relies primarily on his glasses and subtle use of posture and body language to distance himself from Superman. The Clark in Smallville is slowly adopting this same strategy, and thus the glasses made their long-awaited debut in Season 9.

The closest thing Smallville seasons 1-8 DVD boxset has worn to a costume so far has been his black, Matrix-inspired look. Instead of a cape and spandex, Clark prefers a trenchcoat and a shirt with his trademark "S" logo painted on. In terms of color, this suit actually recalls the comics. Aside from the trenchcoat, the comic book Clark wore a similar "Kryptonian Life Suit" that helped restore his body after his near-fatal battle with Doomsday.

Lois Lane

As a non-costumed resident of Metropolis Lois Lane doesn't have much in the way of a defined look. As such, it's difficult to criticize Smallville DVD for its portrayal of Lois. In either universe, Lois is a headstrong reporter who wears clothes that accentuate her beauty without flaunting it.

In the Smallville DVD set
comics, the one source of variation In Lois' over the years has been her hair color. She debuted with black hair, but during the '70s and '80s her hair lightened even as her personality became more forceful. Lois' is usually portrayed as having black hair in the current comics, though some artists depict her as a brunette instead.

A similar shift has taken place in Smallville DVD boxset. Lois debuted in her earlier seasons as a brunette. However, more recently her hair has become darker, if not fully black.

Lois is often know to briefly adopt costumed identities in the comics, particularly during the freewheeling days of the Silver Age. This too is referenced in Smallville in the episode "Stiletto". In this episode, Lois adopts the identity of Stiletto and briefly wears a black leather costume that fits right in with Clark's own Matrix-esque costume.

Lex Luthor

Lex Luthor is one of the more faithful characters in the Smallville seasons 1-8 DVD boxset show in terms of appearance. It's not hard to capture the look of the twisted billionaire industrialist. As long as you have an intense man with a completely bald head, you have your Lex Luthor. Lex's fine business attire only seals the deal.

The Smallville DVD
comics have gone though a number of varying explanations as to Luthor's hair loss. Originally, Lex was a corpulent man who slowly lost his hair due to advancing age. However, the modern Lex is portrayed as much thinner and fully bald from a young age. Smallville DVD set established that Lex's hair fell out as a result of the meteor shower that brought Clark to Earth. That's a better explanation than some of the stories we've seen.

The most significant difference between Smallville DVD boxset's Lex and the comic book Lex is that the latter prefers a green and purple ensemble when committing his villainous acts. Often he dons an armored battlesuit when combating Superman directly. The Smallville version seems content to stick to dark, well-tailored suits. Unless Lex becomes a major player in the series once more, we don't expect this difference to change.

Kara Kent

Clark's Kryptonian cousin shows many of the same predilections when it comes to appearance. On a basic level, Kara is similar to her comic book counterpart. Supergirl is usually portrayed as a tall, leggy blond with good looks and a love of halter tops and mini-skirts. Smallville seasons 1-8 DVD boxset has that much down pat.

Like Clark, Kara has shown little willingness to don a true costume. Instead, she favors a similar red-and-blue color scheme in her everyday attire. She'll also mix in some white clothes as an homage to the Linda Danvers version of Supergirl. With Kara out of the show for now, we don't expect the actual Smallville DVD costume to be making an appearance. It would be nice if at least one DC hero decided to wait for Clark to suit up before donning their own uniform.
