Miley Cyrus to appear in 'Sex and the City' sequel

It's official: Miley Cyrus will appear in the Sex and the City sequel. The latest script for the film has Cyrus in a one-scene cameo, playing herself.

A rumor has it that Cyrus will be wearing the same dress to a red carpet event as resident Sex star Kim Catrall, who purchased the dress to "look young." Cyrus is set to film her scene next month, and the film hits theaters next May.

Sex and the City 2 is currently filming in New York City, where fans have repeatedly gathered to try and catch story spoilers. Some believe that the stars of the film sometimes try and throw people off by wearing or carrying clues.

Catrall was recently photographed on the set wearing a wedding dress, leading some to speculate that she'll become the last of the four to get married.

Sarah Jessica nicknamed Carrie Sadshaw

All is not going well in the Sex and The City shoot out in Glen Cove on Long Island we hear.
Reports from the set claim that Sarah Jessica has been nicknamed "Carrie Sadshaw" and that the rift between her and Kim Cattrall has descended into all-out war.
Insiders claim that the two are not talking to each other and that their co-stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis now dread coming into work.
A source told Star Magazine: "While the cast is all smiles on the outside, the level of dislike is unbelievable. No one is having a good time on this shoot. "
"Kim has been taking every chance to snipe. You could cut the tension with a knife. Their fighting has also made Cynthia and Kristin miserable, too," the source added.
Parker is said to be under enormous stress as she juggles filming with he three children; six-year-old son James and baby twin daughters Marion and Tabitha.
The source said: "The crew have taken to calling her 'Carrie Sadshaw'. When she doesn't have to be 'on' in her scenes, she looks so sad."
The on-set tension clearly got the better of a toddler today who howled the whole way through his shoot with the glamorous foursome.The toddler, perched on Kristin Davis' knee, was inconsolable as the actresses filmed their scene.The toddler howled in between calls for "action" but the crew said the take would work out fine.They probably can only hope the feud between the two leading ladies can be so easily dealt with.

'Sex and The City 2' Will Be A Must See Film

“Sex and The City ” star, Kim Cattrall says that “Sex and The City 2″ is going to be a lot of fun to watch,and that audiences will definitely want to see it,according to Access Hollywood. She stated, “Expect lots of fun.Audiences definitely will want to see what we have planned.”

She said it’s been fun reliving the fashions of the 80’s,and that they’ve been having a blast. She stated, “It was so much fun to relive the wild and crazy fashions of the ‘80s.I absolutely loved the four different looks of all of us. We were all so uniquely different that we all couldn’t stop admiring our different looks. There was lots of laughing, and it was a blast!”

She said that working with her co-stars has been easy,and that it feels like home to be back on the set. She stated, “Working with the three women is so easy.I mean seven years of doing the series and the first movie and now two years later being back feels like being home. It’s so much fun. There is a saying that you can’t go home again but on ‘Sex and the City,’ you can.”

She said now she has to put her script in a book when walking down the street,since people try to take photos of it. She stated, “When I carry my script to the set, it’s amplified and any clue is deciphered.So going to work everyday, I now I have to put that in a book to make sure nobody can see it.”

'Sex and the City' Stars: Hard at Work

Still plugging away at the sure-to-be-hit sequel, the stars of “Sex and the City 2” were spotted out in New York City today (September 17).

Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis all filmed scenes on the Manhattan streets, as fans and paparazzi were kept at a distance.
Miss Cattrall recently told press that she had a blast going 1980s retro for a series of scenes last week, something we’re all looking forward to seeing on the silver screen.

“It was so much fun to relive the wild and crazy fashions of the ‘80s. I absolutely loved the four different looks of all of us. We were all so uniquely different that we all couldn’t stop admiring our different looks. There was lots of laughing, and it was a blast!”

'Sex And The City' Sequel: Spoiler Alerts

While most film and TV scripts are closely guarded secrets, it's hard to stay super top secret when you are filming in the middle of America's most populous city. Miley Cyrus to Make Sex And The City Cameo?

Miley Cyrus is set to make a cameo appearance in the eagerly-awaited Sex and The City movie sequel, according to reports.
The Hannah Montana star, 16, is scheduled to film her part on Oct. 16, reports America’s Life & Style magazine.

“They’ve asked her,” says an insider. “But she hasn’t confirmed. Right now, they’re just holding the space for her.”

It was reported in August that the teen queen sees appearing alongside the show’s leading ladies — Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, Kim Cattrall and Cynthia Nixon — as a way of becoming a serious actress.

“Miley sees this as a transition from teen stardom to more adult roles,” dished a Hollywood insider.

“We’re all wondering how long it will take Kim to have Miley knocking back Cosmos and ogling all the men. Seriously though, all the girls are excited to have Miley on board.”

Sex and The City 2 is due out next May.

Sex and the City Girls Reunite

Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie Bradshaw), Cynthia Nixon (Miranda Hobbes), Kim Cattrall (Samantha Jones) and Kristin Davis (Charlotte York) were photographed together for the first time on the NYC set Tuesday.

Parker, 44, was first photographed on the set a week ago in a white Halston Heritage dress, Chanel clutch and sparkling Christian Louboutin gold pumps. Later, she filmed what is believed to be a flashback scene, as she was decked out in '80s gear, including sneakers and big hair.

In addition to shooting scenes with Chris Noth (Mr. Big), she also filmed with Nixon, 43. Cattrall, 53, was also spotted on the set.

The sequel of sex and the city is scheduled to hit theaters on May 28, 2010.

Secrets from Sex and the City Sequel

What's better than a bunch of sex secrets?

London's Mirror reportedly got their hands on a page of the script from Sex and the City 2 -- and it looks like Kim Cattrall's cancer-surviving Samantha is fighting a new battle this time around.

And this battle is called menopause!

"I'm going to need you to go on a testosterone run," Samantha, with a bottle of hormone pills on her desk, tells assistant Meghan, according to the paper.

"I'll do it first thing tomorrow," Meghan reportedly replies.

"Said the 24-year-old. I'll call the pharmacy and tell them you are on your way," Samantha steps in.

Looking at Kim (wow!), you would never think she is old enough to be going through her changes -- but, apparently, nature doesn't know that she's still a hottie.

Wanna know another inside tidbit?

Well, Samantha may have broken up with young and devoted Smith Jerrod in the first film, but she's definitely still talking to him -- at least on the phone -- in the follow-up.

Menopause, love, shoes, young boys, Mr. Big -- what more could you ask for in a sequel?

Marion Loretta and Tabitha Hodge, both arriving in the Parker/Matthew Broderick household on June 22 via surrogate, were spotted under the car of a nanny in a double stroller, napping in pink blankets.

We suspect the sheer proximity to Sex's wardrobe closet and costumer Patricia Field will inspire the ability to walk (and accessorize!) for the two little ones.

Parker sported a frizzy do, resembling Glenn Close's Fatal Attraction character (sans the bunny). The cosmopolitan, Louboutin-clad cutie sported a number of different looks, continuing the stream of trend-setting fashions her character, Carrie Bradshaw, is renown for.

The storyline for the “Sex” Sequel is being kept under wraps – but in one scene, Carrie was not sporting a wedding ring –
leading to speculation that maybe there’s once again trouble in paradise with Big.

As any true “Sex” fan knows, the pair tied the knot at the close of the first Sex and the City movie after Big left her at the
altar.

The first Sex And The City grossed more than $400 million last summer –making it one of the year's biggest box office hits.
